Villa Roseto is an early-20th-century residence set in a garden of orange trees and roses on the Aventine Hill, one of the quietest and greenest corners of central Rome. The twelve rooms and suites, each one different, combine original floors, marble fireplaces and fine fabrics with modern comforts such as air conditioning, Smart TVs and rain showers. Some open directly onto the garden, others onto the terrace with views over Rome.
The heated pool is surrounded by sun loungers and olive trees, and breakfast is served outdoors in the warmer months. A small restaurant offers dinner by reservation, with vegetables from the kitchen garden. The Orange Garden, the Circus Maximus and Testaccio are all within walking distance; private parking is free of charge.

Wat een bijzondere plek. De villa ligt verscholen in een tuin vol sinaasappelbomen op de Aventijn, midden in Rome en toch volkomen stil. Onze familiesuite was ruim, met een prachtige badkamer en uitzicht op de tuin. De kinderen waren niet uit het zwembad te krijgen. Het ontbijt buiten was heerlijk. De eigenaar regelde een privérondleiding door het Forum.
Wir suchten eine ruhige Unterkunft und haben sie gefunden. Der Garten mit Rosen und Orangenbäumen ist wunderschön, der Pool gepflegt und morgens hat man ihn fast für sich allein. Unsere Junior Suite hatte einen Balkon mit Blick über die Stadt. Das Abendessen mit Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten war ausgezeichnet. Der kostenlose Parkplatz war für uns Gold wert.
Abbiamo scelto la villa per un weekend romantico e non potevamo trovare di meglio. La suite con terrazza guarda verso il Gianicolo e al tramonto lo spettacolo è incredibile. Colazione in giardino, personale discreto e attento, piscina riscaldata anche a ottobre. Il Giardino degli Aranci è a cinque minuti a piedi. Unico difetto: si vorrebbe restare più a lungo.
Villa Roseto is the kind of place you do not want to leave. We had a garden-facing deluxe room with a marble fireplace and French doors opening onto the orange trees. Breakfast under the trees, with homemade jams and warm bread, was a daily pleasure. The pool was warm even in late September and the staff arranged a driver for our day in Tivoli. Utterly peaceful.
