Palazzo delle Terme is a contemporary four-star hotel housed in an Art Nouveau building on Via Marsala, a stone's throw from Termini station and the Baths of Diocletian. The seventy rooms have been designed with warm materials, travertine marble, linen fabrics and a soundproofing system that makes the traffic below almost imperceptible. Every room comes with a coffee machine, a laptop-sized safe and a Smart TV.
On the sixth floor, the rooftop bar opens at sunset and looks out over the Esquilino rooftops as far as the dome of Santa Maria Maggiore; on the ground floor, the restaurant serves Roman cuisine with a modern twist, built around seasonal produce. Breakfast, served until eleven at weekends, includes home-made pastries and gluten-free options. The location is perfect if you arrive by train or on the Leonardo Express.

Nos alojamos dos noches en la junior suite y quedamos encantados. La habitación era amplia, con un pequeño balcón y una cafetera muy buena. El restaurante del hotel sirve una carbonara excelente y el bar de la azotea es ideal para el aperitivo. El desayuno hasta las once en fin de semana se agradece. Solo mejoraría el precio del minibar.
Hotel elegante e curato, con una hall che colpisce appena si entra. La camera deluxe aveva un letto king enorme, un bagno in travertino e una vista sulla cupola di Santa Maria Maggiore. Colazione ricca, con opzioni senza glutine per mia figlia. La zona intorno a Termini di sera non è il massimo, ma dentro l'hotel non si sente nulla.
We chose Palazzo delle Terme because our train to Naples left early, and it was ideal. The superior room was stylish, with a huge bed, blackout curtains and effective soundproofing. The rooftop bar is a real highlight, with a great Negroni and views over the rooftops. Breakfast was excellent, especially the pastries. Only downside: the rooftop gets crowded at sunset.
